I haven’t ticked any films of my “Films I should’ve seen by now but haven’t” list lately, but last night I saw this little beauty was streaming on Netflix so finally watched it:
Snakes on a Plane (2006)
I’m not sure how I’ve only just watched this. I can only think that the silly (but fun) storyline and the fact that I’ve heard people say it’s naff put me off, but I actually really enjoyed it.👌
I’m sure I don’t need to explain who’s in and what it’s about but I will...
If you haven’t seen it, it stars Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) and Julianna Margulies (Ghost Ship) among others.
This is what it’s about according to IMDb:
An FBI agent (Jackson) takes on a plane full of deadly venomous snakes, deliberately released to kill a witness being flown from Honolulu to Los Angeles to testify against a mob boss.
This movie does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s as mad and far fetched as you expect it to be and yet it’s strangely enjoyable due in large part to Samuel L. Jackson being in it.
It reminded me a bit of Arachnophobia in that, it’s an enjoyable film but you can tell that it’s not taking itself too seriously so you just go with it.
Over all verdict: I had a good time! 👍🐍🛩
