Scrolling through Netflix last night looking for something new to watch, my better half suggested watching a film called Project Power (2020).
I’m not a big fan of Netflix to be honest. I don’t really watch series’ and the majority of the films I search for are never on there. It gets annoying. Never the less we decided to give it a go.
It stars Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) and a bunch of other people I recognise from one thing or another.
Here’s what it’s about according to IMDb:
“When a pill that gives its users unpredictable superpowers for five minutes hits the streets of New Orleans, a teenage dealer and a local cop must team up with an ex-soldier to take down the group responsible for its creation.”
This movie is actually really good!
The effects are brilliant and the story itself is quite original. It’s got a decent storyline, it’s well acted and it kept me engaged right up to the end.
If, like me you’re a bit fussy and reluctant to take a chance on a film you don’t know anything about, give this one a try. It’s pretty good. 👍
