Nothing Left to Fear (2013)

Another horror film with a poor rating on IMDb is this one:

Nothing Left to Fear (2013)

Like my previous post about the movie Jackals (2017), I caught this on TV a while ago and got right into it. Again, it probably wouldn’t make it onto an all time favourites list but I think it deserves more than the 4.4 rating it’s been given.

It’s produced by Slash (yes the guitarist from Guns N’ Roses) and stars Anne Heche (Volcano) and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) among others.

This is what it’s about:

A family move to a small Kansas town where the father has taken a job as the new pastor.

At first the place seems idillic with friendly neighbours and a nice community, but the town is hiding a terrible secret. Something evil lives below ground and offerings must be made to keep the town’s residents safe.

The story is inspired by the urban legends surrounding a town called Stull in Kansas which is rumoured to be home to one of the “Seven Known Gateways to Hell”.

I really enjoyed this movie and I’m surprised it’s rated so low.

It does have a slow build but when it gets going it’s pretty creepy. 😵

Why not check it out this Halloween weekend? 🎃

Seen it? What do you think? 🤔
