Movie Villain Monday: The T-1000 - Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)

It’s Movie Villain Monday and this week’s movie villain is from one of the most highly rated sci-fi movies of all time!

It’s the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991).

Played by the very underrated Robert Patrick, few villains have made such an impact and instilled so much fear on screen with so little dialogue.

Trivia:

Immediately after being given the role of the T-1000, Robert Patrick took a martial arts crash course and began an exhausting three months of strength, endurance and weapons training.

Part of this training was a rigorous running regime. He had to train to run while breathing only through his nose in order to appear to run at high speeds without showing fatigue. He trained so hard in fact that by the time filming began, he could keep up with John Connor’s dirt bike with relative ease and actually had to slow down for the shot.

Patrick reprised the role of the T-1000 a number of times after Terminator 2, appearing in Wayne’s World 2 (1992), Last Action Hero (1993) and making fun of himself as the character in 2015s Hollywood Adventures.

He’s also the only actor to have been killed on screen by all three Planet Hollywood founders: Bruce Willis in Die Hard 2 (1990), Sylvester Stallone in Cop Land (1997) and Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991).

“Have you seen this boy?”

Who should I feature next week? 🤔
