Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

I managed to squeeze in another Harry Potter film at the weekend.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

I’ve heard a lot of people say that The Prisoner of Askaban is the best Harry Potter movie, so since watching it last week I’ve almost expected the rest of the films to be disappointing in comparison.

As it happens I really enjoyed this one!

I have to say first off though, what was with the long hair?! Most of the main male characters had long hair in this one. Is it a teenage thing..? 😳

I liked that Harry and Ron fell out in this film. I think it made their relationship more believable since no one gets on 100% of the time.

I also love that after being teased over the last three films, Voldemort is finally back! The confrontation between him and Harry in the graveyard at the end was excellent!

My favourite characters in this one were again, Alan Rickman as Professor Snape but also Brendan Gleason as ‘MadEye’ Moody. 👁

Up until now I’ve only seen his character in memes but now I actually know who he is.

I didn’t realise David Tennant was in this one either. For some reason I was always a bit of a hater of his until I watched the remake of Fright Night (2011). The original is one of my favourite films of all time so you can imagine how I felt when I learned it was getting remade and David Tennant was playing Roddy McDowall’s character, Peter Vincent. As it happens, he was great and the whole thing won me over. I’ve been a fan ever since. 👌

It’s all getting very dark and serious now and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds over the next four films!

I’m well and truly hooked. 🤩
