Happy 67th Birthday to the great Rick Moranis!
Rick was really active during the 1980s and early 90s, delivering memorable performances in films like Ghostbusters (1984), The Little Shop of Horrors (1986), Spaceballs (1987) and Honey I Shrunk the Kids (1989).
Tragically his wife died of cancer in 1991 and he gradually stepped away from the business and public life to concentrate on being a dad to his two kids.
Other than the odd bit of voice work in animated movies like Brother Bear (2003), Rick hasn’t done a great deal of acting over the past few years. Recently though he signed on to appear in “Shrunk”, a reboot of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids franchise currently in production.
It’ll be great to have him back!
I’m just gutted he won’t be appearing in the upcoming Ghostbusters sequel. 😢
