I hate spiders and by hate I mean REALLY HATE (to see how much, click here). Having said that, I never kill them, I just “re-home” them anywhere other than in my house. 🕸🕷
Despite my unpleasant relationship with these disgusting 8 legged creatures, one of my favourite comfort movies is Arachnophobia (1990). I watched it again a couple of weekends ago and it’s one of those films I never get tired of. It’s a real “easy-to-watch-on-a-Sunday-afternoon” kind of movie.
People are often surprised that I like this film when I’m so terrified of spiders, but a good film is a good film. I guess my brain just knows that it’s not real (although there are some scenes that still make me grit my teeth and writhe in my seat). 😵
It’s probably also a nostalgia thing since this film came out at a time when I was young and had zero responsibilities (big sigh!) 😔
