I’ve been aware of this for some time now. I think it all started a few years ago when Bruce Willis wanted to leave his iTunes music collection to someone in his will. He found out (to his surprise), that he didn’t actually own the thousands of songs he’d purchased but rather that he was merely “renting” them, therefore they weren’t technically his to pass on. It’s a shameful and misleading trick on Apple’s part.
I’m an Apple user. I like their products but I don’t always agree with their policies and tactics. 😠👎
